Hope everyone is having a great one so far. :) I'm heading to San Antonio tomorrow for a Songwriting workshop with some Stonegate Band members tomorrow. Should be fun. This one is actually for writing praise and worship music, for which I am quite inept, but I'm working on it. :) Had the privilege of leading worship this past weekend at Stonegate's Ladies Night on friday. I just had a blast singing for the ladies at my own church. What an honor. :) Just a really great night all-around!Went to Nashville this weekend and got to hang out with some of my old college buddies. Also got to meet Leight Cappilleno (sp?) of Point of Grace. Can I just say..."LOVE HER!" What a funny gal. We met years ago thru my friend Karen Fairchild but I got to actually sit and visit with her. Just Hilarious. I think she might give me a run for my money in the comedy department! Ha Ha! I'm kidding.Been watching my kiddos play basketball and am loving every minute of it! My son's team is actually undefeated and his games are soooo exciting! Well that about raps up my January in a nutshell. February is not quite so busy. I'm looking forward to the rest. We pulled out all the Christmas stuff, listened to Christmas muisc, ate turkey, and watched Texas football! Gotta love it! :) I have 3 events coming up in December both in the Houston area and in Mississippi, then I'll be heading to Atlanta for a week right after Christmas. I am writing exactly one month from my last entry. Well all I can say is crazy crazy! I have been busy like a mad woman and things will not slow down until after Christmas. I have stayed busy this fall with women's events and have had a blast meeting new people and awesome speakers! Jen Hatmaker, Darla Baerg, Debbie Salter Goodwin...great ladies and wonderful speakers as well as writers! I have been on a cruise to Cabo San Lucas, bought a new puppy and I think I've got most of the songs written to start a new album of original music. I've already sung at several events where they wanted Christmas music and after the event ladies kept coming up and asking to buy my Christmas album. Ooopsie...don't have one. So now my husband is all jazzed about me doing a Christmas album soon. But I really want to start recording these new songs I've written. Anyway... One will be to Cabo San Lucas in November and the other will be to New York in December. I can't wait! I haven't been to New York since I was in 10th grade. :) I'm hanging out with my sweet friend Dorothy who happens to be an actress as well as an up and coming new Christian artist.
